Bob Woodward criticizes Bush

This story marks the latest development in the media's obsession with what Bob Woodward thinks. Apparently his new book critiques Bush's war policy.

Woodward's claim to fame, of course, is that he happened to write for a Washington newspaper when a Watergate break-in source decided to come forward. Since, everyone in the field of journalism has been worshipping the man, though it's no secret he's not that great of a writer.

Woodward also claims Henry Kissinger is secretly advising Bush on Iraq, quoting the Nixon Administration official presumably through second-hand, anonymous sources. He's been criticized for doing this in the past.

Disclosure: I work for The National Interest, for which Kissinger is honorary chairman. I've never met the man.
